Photographing a wedding is a real pleasure in winter here. Luckily for Cori and Antonio they live in Tucson Arizona, so their December 26th wedding date produced weather which would be right at home in an east coast summer.

Cori looked wonderful in her wedding dress, and only cried a little during the ceremony!!

As a wedding photographer, I’m always on the lookout for an interesting backdrop or subtle change in light, and right before sunset there was a magical glow that bathed the now empty lawn and wedding gazebo, so I quickly ushered the bride and groom out into the wonderful light for a few last photographs in the last of the days warm rays.

Erik and Melissa’s Wedding

I had the privilege of being Erik and Melissa’s photographer for their wedding day. They chose a wonderful location in Tucson Arizona, it was a quirky event, with a definite drum theme (Erik, Melissa and the priest were all drummers!) a great time was had by all. The ceremony was set for sunset, which had it’s own challenges, and by the time they came out for the first dance, it was pitch black!

Luckily for me, my wonderful wife was my photography assistant for the duration of the wedding. She worked her socks off positioning the off camera strobe lights as I setup for each shot.

The light at the time of the actual marriage ceremony was thankfully just enough to get some nice images, albeit at a rather grainy 1600iso.

Stinson Shoot

This was an opportunity for some great editorial photography shots. It’s really fun being a photographer on days like this.

Lian, Brook and I had great fun shooting with Dan Larson’s 1939 Stinson airplane. The plane was rebuilt by Dan’s parents in the 1970’s and it’s in absolutely mint condition.

Every stitch of her was hand crafted, she’s a real beauty.

These are just a few of the images I created in Tucson. Cade and Brook had an architecture proposal for the Ice Hotel in Sweden, and needed a professional image. We headed to the Barrio early one morning for these shots.
